-Mark Twain.

This day couldn’t have been better.  Hung out with friends I haven’t seen in over a year, hung out with my mom, cooked dinner, went to the gym with a friend, and hung out with new friends.  Today I felt quiche was in order.  It’s actually a meal that I like cold or warm (is that weird?)  Anyways…I am going to keep this entry relatively short, but let’s just say I’m missing Europe more and more as pictures from “Oberlin in Italy” go up on facebook.  Today, the music will be something that I have been trying to find forever, but never knew the name of the song until my wonderful friend Mary sent it to me so THANK YOU!

Paolo Conte- Via Con Me

I always thought this song had a french air to it…but alas.

Preheat oven to 350°

3.5-4 cups flour (the 1/2 cup will be used in rolling)
1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup butter, melted
Pinch of rosemary, salt, paprika

Of course this is just a suggestion, you can use any you’d like…but:

10 eggs
1/8-1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup of preferred cheese, shredded.

  • Mix dough ingredients, roll out and spread in greased 9″ round pan.
  • Place spinach on top of crust, then rest of veggies.
  • Whisk 10 eggs, milk and cheese.
  • Pour over veggies.
  • Sprinkle with more salt and some paprika for coloring.

-Bake for 50 minutes. *for last 5 minutes set on broil to give it a nice coloring on top.

With love,

Also!! We love comments, especially that we’re just starting up…so let us know you’re reading!

  1. The recipe sounds very simple and delicious. The picture looks stunning. I can’t wait to try it.

  2. Summer!!!!! I saw a link to this fabulous page in my newsfeed on facebook a while back, and since then have been checking every once in a while to see what new DELICIOUSNESS you have come up with.
I’m just starting to take cooking more seriously, and have been taking advantage of being here in Croatia to copy as many of my grandma’s recipes as possible…and am looking forward to another year of the co-op. 😉 I’ll have more ideas this time around!!
So THANK YOU for sharing all of these amazing recipes, the food looks incredible and they’re really simple to understand. I’ll definitely try them all…my only problem right now is that some of the ingredients you have listed in the recipes don’t exist over here…oh well, I’ll have to try em out in Oberland!
Enjoy the rest of your summer, see you in a month!!!!
